There's a village called Tasker
in Niger, Africa. How it got its name remains a mystery, but
it's on the southern edge of the Sahara, with a lot of heat and
little rain. More info

can drive an ATV through
Tasker's Gap! At least if you are in the George Washington National
Forest, Virginia, USA. But trail neighbors are beginning to complain about the constant engine noise coming from the trail; so go quietly as you enter Tasker's Gap!

to Canterbury and it's on the south side of Cook's River. It includes playing fields, a swimming pool and
an ice rink. It is connected to the northern bank by a footbridge,
and is named after Alderman WS
Tasker.
